10 Reasons Why I Missed Today’s Bible Study

There are about ten reasons why I missed my Group Bible Study today, so I apologize to my friends in advance. Here are those reasons:

10.     Twitter was calling my name. I’m new to the format, and learning how to manage my time and my tweets. My mentor Kay Green is answering all my beginner questions and I’m walking through the steps.

9.        The blog designer wanted my input. As you know, this blog is so very boring and the design is under construction. I’m working with DoodleBug Designs to create an exciting look for my blogs, and the designer is asking for my input and feedback.

8.      I had a wonderful chat with my drinking buddy, my coffee latte friend Linda. We have been too busy to visit or talk, so I siezed the opportunity to spend time in friendship. I was in friendship for a long time!

7.   The photographer is sending me jewelry product images for approval. Joe Dempsey is so talented and when he shoots an email about a new photo, I’m right on it. I know he has invested much time on the shoot and is waiting for approval, so I jump in and reply with my appreciation for excellent photos. I can never do what he does and I can’t run my business without Joe.

6.   The intellectual property attorney Stuart West  is asking me for information regarding my trademark. I’m sending the details since time matters when talking to your attorney.

5.       I am reading the new book by Jeff Jarvis “What Would Google Do?” and its so great, I can’t put it down. It’s due back at the library in 7 days.

4.       I’m filling orders day and night for Mothers Day Gifts. I feel a sense of responsibility and personally deliver each package to the post office, watch it join bundles of Priority Mail and feel good knowing that another Mom is getting a personalized gift on Sunday.

3.       I didn’t get my hair done in time, see items 4-10 above.

2.       I didn’t finish my homework assignments since I’ve been a Mother’s Day Rush with jewelry orders. (Don’t tell the kids I did not finish the homework, I beg you!)

1.       Reason one, I did not put God first in my life.

Now that I have faced the truth, I am going to change my schedule and put God before Twitter, the Blog, Friends, Photographers, Attorneys, Reading, and Work. God matters most to me, when at the end of the day I go to sleep, knowing that He resides inside my heart. If I had nothing in the world, except the love of God, then I would have everything I needed in my life.
