Teacher Appreciation for Homeschool Moms

As the school year ends and I donate food treats, send money for classroom gifts of appreciation and attend Room Mom Parties, I feel a deep appreciation for Homeschool Moms.
- These teachers are not receiving typical gifts of appreciation , such as flowers, candy, handmade gifts, cards, gift certificates and such.
- They don’t enjoy a Teacher Appreciation Luncheon or see their name posted on the wall of thanks.
- The Homeschool Mom is not represented by a teachers union, or privileged to have a parent-teacher association.
- She purchases her own educational materials, organizes her lesson plans and seeks creative methods to entertain and educate her student.
- She does not receive a paycheck for teaching, no merit pay and rarely a day off.
This is the Mom who devotes each day of her life to educating her children. Many of these Moms are my personal friends.
Kudos and Appreciation to all the Homeschool Moms who are finishing this school year. You are sincerely appreciated for your hard work and the contribution you make to society. You’ve educated future physicians, leaders, public speakers, scientists, teachers, authors, engineers and more. You’ve filled their brains with knowledge and their hearts with love.
We honor you for your devotion to education and commitment to your children. We respect you for your insistance in providing the best for your family while making a personal sacrifice. We admire you for doing something many of us cannot achieve.
Much blessings and thanks to these hard working Homeschool Moms!
